Personal finance
A personal finance tracker that tells you what you can actually spend
FinLedger brings your accounts, spending, budgets, recurring bills and goals into one ledger — and turns them into a single number that matters day to day: your Rest Money.
Rest Money: spendable cash after your commitments
Your bank balance isn't what you can spend. Rest Money starts from your income and subtracts committed outflows — rent, SIP investments, EMIs and subscriptions — so you see what's genuinely free this month.
Accounts and net worth
Add your bank accounts, cards, cash and investments to see an aggregate net worth that updates as you record transactions.
Transactions and categories
Record income and expenses on the web, by message in Telegram, or (soon) in the mobile app. Transactions are grouped into categories you can customise, and global search finds any entry quickly.
Budgets that warn you early
Set a monthly limit per category. FinLedger shows how much of each budget is used and flags categories at 90% and over their limit — in the dashboard and in the Telegram /budgets command. The budget planner suggests limits from your recent spending or a 50/30/20 template, and lets you simulate what-if spending.
Recurring bills and SIPs
Add rent, SIPs, EMIs and subscriptions once as recurring rules. FinLedger posts them automatically when they fall due and reminds you (via Telegram and browser notifications, if enabled) about bills due in the next three days.
Goals
Track savings goals — an emergency fund, a trip, a down payment — and how close you are to each.
Reports, statements and sharing
- Monthly summaries and month-over-month comparisons of spending and savings.
- Downloadable statements, plus CSV export and a full backup you can restore later.
- Time-limited, read-only share links for an accountant or advisor. They expire automatically and you can revoke them at any time.
Currency
Amounts are stored in rupees. You can pick a display currency (INR, USD, EUR, GBP or JPY) in Settings → Account; other currencies are shown using fixed reference rates, so treat them as estimates.
Ask questions in plain language
The built-in assistant answers questions about your own data — “how much did I spend on food last month?” — and the same tools are available to AI clients like Claude Desktop through FinLedger's hosted MCP server.
